We came together to witness the first black man who will become our president, yet watched in sadness as Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, and California all voted down equal rights for all citizens.Apparently we Canadians are right up to speed with this, with the exception of me. But then civil rights and civil liberties ARE an international concern. For that matter, the efforts of Christianist fundamentalists to overset the rule of law and civilization in favor of their own agendas are worldwide. So lets's all get on board. It's one big world, it's time to start acting like it.
